Returning from Spring Break, I found myself in a familiar location. The Detroit Airport. Through the spring internship recruiting season, I found myself spending quite a few hours in this airport, usually with another Johnson Student, talking about jobs and business as we traveled together wearing our suits and carrying our resumes. Now, on this occasion, I am sprinting through the airport, bags slung over my shoulder, pushing an empty baby stroller as I try in vain to keep up with the 2-year old who is 10 steps ahead of me, and running to ride every moving walkway and escalator that she can find. Oh, what a difference a month makes.

Time is amazing. When we look back to last spring, the first year class was just attending DJ, unsure of where they were going to attend business school, wondering "Why Johnson?" Some, had already accepted and were celebrating making new friends and enjoying a beautiful Ithaca weekend. Others still had burning questions and sought out others to answer them. This issue of the Cornell Business Journal will hopefully give some answers to the perspective students on what makes Johnson different, or why the current students chose to attend JGSM. There are articles of current activities in the different immersions from first years taking the classes. Welcome to Ithaca and Johnson, have a blast, feel free to seek us out, ask questions, to make the right decision for you about your future.
