JG: Hey Vivek! What's new?

VP: Well, certainly not us! This is it, JG. OUR LAST EDITORIAL. The Italian-Indian "family business" is nearing the end of a chapter. But, unlike the Sopranos which ended with a blank screen, we will go out with all words blazing.

JG: Let's focus on the good news, Mr. Pai. We've got an incredibly talented, dedicated group coming on to take our place and to continue the drive to return this unique paper to prominence. It is, after all, the only independent student publication at Johnson, and a forum for any and all members of the school community to voice concerns, gripes, and any other issues that deserve public forum.

VP: Don't forget, this paper is about being smart, cool and funny. And, I believe the new team personifies all these qualities. So, let us talk about the new kids on the block. Let us start with our replacements.

JG: I remember Brandon Ray and Zachry Brown from the very first meeting we organized this semester. Ever since that day, they have shown tremendous enthusiasm and passion for this organization. For the next year, these will be the fine Co-Editors-in-Chief.

VP: Those are the cowboys from Texas A&M, aren't they? What are the chances? I didn't realize these kids from Texas had a pent-up journalist in them. Don't forget to mention the crew, including the new Managing Editor, Chris Nienstedt. Equally important are the guys that bring home the bacon, co-VPs of Business Development, Steve Maddox and Narayan Vaidyanathan. And our VP of Alumni Relations, Harlan Blynn and, of course, our double agent at VP of Faculty Relations and Treasurer is Bucky Jencks.

JG: Sounds like an all-star team to me. Before we sign off for good, do you have any last words?

VP: I have many last words, my friend. I still remember that the first time we talked about leading the Journal together was behind B09, by the lockers. At the time, this publication was kept afloat mainly by the efforts of Anne Sorock JGSM '08.
